Librarian in Abu-Dhabi, UAE This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. We are a well-established company in the field of library services and are looking for someone who can bring new ideas, enthusiasm and experience to the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date records and cataloguing of library materials, as well as providing customer service to patrons. The ideal candidate for this position must possess an excellent knowledge of library science principles and practices. They must have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively with minimal supervision. Good communication and IT skills are essential for this role, as well as a strong customer service orientation. Responsibilities include: • Overseeing daily operations in the library, including circulation of books, cataloguing, reference services and maintenance of records; • Assisting patrons with their inquiries; • Maintaining updated database of library material; • Developing and implementing new procedures; • Training staff on use of equipment; • Organising book displays or special events; • Developing online databases or websites related to the library activities. This position is open to both local nationals and foreign candidates who hold a valid work permit in Abu Dhabi. Salary offered is 1200 AED per month.
