Junior Librarian


Our library in Al-Kuwait is currently seeking a Junior Librarian to join our team. This is a full-time position that welcomes freshers and does not require prior experience or proficiency in English. We are committed to creating job opportunities for Africans and will provide a free visa and ticket for the selected candidate.

As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and maintenance of our library's collection and resources. This includes shelving books, cataloging new materials, and ensuring that all items are easily accessible for library patrons. You will also be in charge of basic administrative tasks such as checking in/out materials, managing overdue notices, and answering phone inquiries.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for books and learning, as well as excellent organizational skills. Our ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and have a positive attitude towards customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of the library's collection.
- Shelving books according to the designated classification system.
- Catalog new materials using our library software.
- Ensure all items are easily accessible for patrons.
- Check in/out materials for library users.
- Manage overdue notices and communicate with patrons regarding returned items.
- Answer phone inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate department.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic (English proficiency is not required).
- Passion for books and learning.
