Librarian Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our library team as a Librarian Assistant in Shan, a bustling city known for its rich cultural history. As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the head librarian in managing the library's daily operations and providing exceptional customer service to patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the library's circulation desk, including checking materials in and out, collecting fines, and updating patron records.
- Maintain physical and digital collections by shelving books, organizing materials, and ensuring accurate cataloging.
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons by answering questions, assisting with research inquiries, and recommending materials.
- Assist with programming and events for all ages, such as author talks, book clubs, and storytimes.
- Process new materials by labeling, covering, and cataloging them according to library standards.
- Monitor library supplies and equipment inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Keep up-to-date with new technology trends in libraries to enhance services for patrons.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a library or similar setting.
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems (e.g. MARC) and classification schemes (e.g. Dewey Decimal).
- Familiarity with information resources such as online databases and e-books.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
