Preservation Architect
We are seeking a talented and passionate Preservation Architect to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring their cultural significance is maintained for future generations. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of historical construction techniques and materials, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies to ensure the integrity of historical sites
- Collaborate with project teams to incorporate preservation requirements into design plans
- Oversee construction projects to ensure adherence to preservation standards
- Research and recommend appropriate materials and techniques for restoration work
- Prepare reports and documentation on the history and significance of preserved sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in preservation architecture or historic preservation projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and architectural styles from different historical periods
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
