Pastry Chef
Location: Muscat, Oman
Salary: $1200 per month
We are a luxury hotel in Muscat, Oman seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and executing high-quality pastries and desserts, as well as experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare high-quality pastries and desserts for the hotel's restaurants, banquets, and room service orders
- Develop new dessert menu items and recipes while also maintaining the current menu offerings
- Ensure all pastry products are consistently presented according to the hotel's standards
- Oversee inventory management to ensure all necessary ingredients and supplies are stocked at all times
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff on proper techniques and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating unique, high-quality pastries and desserts
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and presentation methods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Creativity and passion for developing new dessert menu items
- High attention to detail with an eye for presentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members from various cultural backgrounds
