Data Mining Specialist
Location: Porto, Portugal (Local candidates preferred)
Salary: 1400$ per month (Accommodation provided)


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Mining Specialist to join our growing team in Porto, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting data from various sources, analyzing it, and presenting valuable insights to help inform business decisions. This is a contract position with a competitive salary and accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to extract data from various sources such as databases, websites, and social media platforms
- Clean and organize large datasets for analysis
- Analyze data using statistical methods and visualizations to identify patterns and trends
- Create reports and presentations to communicate key findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions
- Continuously monitor data quality and make recommendations for improvements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Proven experience in data mining or a similar role
- Proficient in SQL and other programming languages such as Python or R
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner

Preferred:
- Experience with machine learning techniques
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
