Locksmith Technician



As a Locksmith Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks and security systems for residential and commercial properties. Your main duties will include assessing customers' needs, recommending appropriate security solutions, and carrying out lock installations and repairs with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of locking mechanisms such as deadbolts, padlocks, keyless entry systems, etc.
- Conduct security assessments for customers and recommend appropriate solutions based on their needs and budget
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty locks or security systems
- Cut new or duplicate keys using specialized tools
- Maintain accurate records of all services provided
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security technology and products
- Provide excellent customer service at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a locksmith or in a related field
- Knowledge of different types of locks, tools, and techniques used in the trade
- Ability to read blueprints or diagrams to determine lock placement
- Attention to detail and precision in performing tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills to interact with customers
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized locksmith training program
- Previous experience working with electronic security systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights or weekends

Salary: $1000/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: St. Petersburg
Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours/week)
