Office Assistant
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Salary: 1700$
We are seeking a responsible and organized Office Assistant to join our team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position with the opportunity for full-time hours in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Maintain office supplies by monitoring inventory and placing orders when needed
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for pickup or delivery
- Keep the office clean and organized, including restocking refreshments for visitors
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and organizing documents
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience as an office assistant or in a similar role is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
