Skilled Metal Worker


A skilled metal worker is responsible for creating and repairing metal structures, components, and objects. They must have a strong understanding of different types of metals and their properties, as well as the tools and techniques used in metalworking.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine the dimensions and materials needed for a project
- Fabricate or repair metal objects using various tools such as welders, grinders, saws, and drills
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, templates, or other measuring devices
- Use hand tools to cut, shape, and bend metal pieces into desired sizes or shapes
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing regular maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within given deadlines

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a metal worker or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using various hand tools for metalworking
- Strong knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Contract job with flexible working hours (40 hours per week)
- No prior experience required; training will be provided on the job
