Office Assistant
Location: Nizwa, Oman
Our company is seeking a highly organized and motivated Office Assistant to join our team in Nizwa. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be proficient in English, and able to handle a variety of administrative tasks. This is a contract position without accommodation, suitable for Malayalees or Kenyans with biometric passports.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and redirect them to the appropriate person or department
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and faxes
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Keep office areas clean and organized
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, invoicing, and record keeping
- Conduct research and prepare reports as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience as an office assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Biometric passport for easy travel between Oman and home country (Malayalees or Kenyans preferred)
