Librarian


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and finding materials, and maintaining the library's cataloging system. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing programs and services to promote literacy and encourage library usage.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, magazines, journals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with finding materials, conducting research, and using library resources
- Develop and implement programs and services to promote literacy and increase library usage
- Maintain the library's cataloging system to ensure accurate records of all materials
- Oversee the circulation of materials, including checking books in/out, collecting fines/fees, and maintaining borrower records
- Keep up-to-date with new books and resources in order to make recommendations to patrons
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events, activities, and displays that engage the community
- Train other staff members on how to use the library's systems and resources effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in using computer systems for cataloging and database management
- Knowledge of current trends in literature, education, technology, etc.
- Must have a biometric passport or willingness to obtain one for travel purposes

This position is open to all nationalities. We offer a competitive salary of $1200 per month with accommodation provided. This is a full-time position but part-time options may also be available.
