Preservation Architect
A reputable preservation firm is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the restoration and preservation of historic buildings and structures. This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $1100.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of historic buildings and structures to determine appropriate preservation methods
- Develop detailed restoration plans, including budgets, timelines, and materials
- Oversee construction teams during restoration projects to ensure adherence to plans and standards
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors on preservation projects
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in preservation techniques
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients or stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural preservation or related field
- Strong understanding of historical architecture styles, materials, and construction methods
- Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Willingness to travel for project site visits
