Preservation Architect



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Utena, Lithuania. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings, structures, and sites while maintaining their historical integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings and sites to determine their preservation needs
- Developing preservation plans and strategies to ensure the long-term maintenance of historic structures
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation projects
- Conducting research on historical materials, techniques, and construction methods
- Creating detailed documentation of preservation projects including drawings, reports, and specifications
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation work
- Ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations during preservation projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect working on historic buildings or sites
- Knowledge of architectural history, conservation principles, and preservation techniques
- Experience with restoration techniques such as masonry repair, woodwork restoration, and plaster conservation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant design software
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills in English (Lithuanian language proficiency is a plus)
- Valid work permit for Lithuania (visa sponsorship available if needed)
