Surveyor Assistant


As a Surveyor Assistant, you will work alongside experienced surveyors to support them in their fieldwork and office tasks. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with land surveys, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and maintaining survey equipment. A successful candidate for this role must have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and be physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth within the surveying profession.

You will be based in our Los Angeles office and may be required to travel to different job sites within the city or surrounding areas. This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per week. We also offer visa sponsorship for non-US citizens who meet the necessary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with conducting land surveys using various equipment such as GPS systems, total stations, and laser levels.
- Collect field data and perform calculations using computer software.
- Prepare detailed reports on survey findings.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Follow all safety procedures while working on job sites.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in surveying or related field is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficient with computer software such as AutoCAD or GIS.
- Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
