Preservation Architect
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Salary: $1000 per month (part-time)
We are currently seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, while also ensuring they meet modern safety and accessibility standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Develop preservation plans and strategies, taking into consideration the building's historical significance and structural integrity
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute preservation projects
- Ensure all preservation work meets relevant codes and regulations
- Oversee the maintenance of historic buildings to prevent deterioration or damage
- Conduct research on materials and techniques used in historic construction to inform preservation projects
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies regarding preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and construction techniques
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and preservation guidelines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural software
