Preservation Architect
We have an exciting opportunity for a Preservation Architect to join our team in Oslo. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and cultural significance.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration measures
- Developing preservation plans and strategies, taking into consideration the building's architectural style, materials used, and cultural significance
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to carry out preservation projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration work
- Supervising restoration work to ensure compliance with preservation plans and standards
- Conducting research on historical buildings and their significance in order to inform preservation decisions
- Providing guidance on proper maintenance practices for historical buildings to ensure their long-term preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or a related field
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, methods, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and historic preservation guidelines
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess the condition of historical structures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of professionals
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
