Sous Chef
A high-end restaurant in Bayan is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate is a skilled chef with exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating unique and delicious dishes. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage the kitchen operations and ensure the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe creation, and food preparation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including inventory management, food safety, and sanitation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in various cooking techniques and proper handling of equipment
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, taste, and quality control
- Collaborate with suppliers to source fresh ingredients and maintain cost-effective inventory levels
- Monitor food costs and work within budget guidelines
- Develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Ensure compliance with health codes, regulations, and company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant
- Proficient in English language (Filipino nationality preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
Salary: 1700$ per month
