Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Funchal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing new pastry recipes, overseeing the production of pastries, and managing the pastry team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and innovative pastry recipes that meet our high standards
- Oversee the production process to ensure quality and consistency
- Train and manage the pastry team, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ordering as needed
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of pastries, desserts, and baking techniques
- Ability to create new recipes while also following established ones accurately
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Food safety certification is preferred
