Excavator Operator

We are hiring an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Svalbard. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating an excavator, along with a valid driver's license and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities:
- Operate the excavator according to project specifications and safety standards
- Perform regular maintenance on the equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Load and unload materials from trucks and transport them to designated areas
- Verify levels of excavation using various tools such as laser levels
- Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations on site

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating an excavator in construction or mining projects
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Relevant certifications for operating heavy machinery
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety protocols for operating heavy machinery
