Typesetter

We are searching for a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Funchal. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for print or digital publications. Your attention to detail and strong eye for design will ensure that our publications have high-quality and visually appealing layouts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text, images, and other visual elements using desktop publishing software
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to create visually appealing layouts
- Ensure that all text is properly formatted and free of spelling and grammatical errors
- Make necessary adjustments to layout based on feedback from team members or clients
- Adhere to project deadlines and manage multiple projects at once

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Knowledge of desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, and design principles
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in text or layout
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
- Experience working in the publishing industry
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for digital publication layouts

Salary: $1400 per month (without accommodation)
Location: Funchal (free visa and ticket provided)
