Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and conserving historical buildings, structures, and sites in Lisbon. You will work closely with government agencies, property owners, and construction teams to ensure the protection and maintenance of these important cultural landmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and sites to determine necessary preservation measures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies in accordance with local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with construction teams to oversee restoration, repair, and maintenance work
- Monitor progress of preservation projects and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
- Conduct research on historical materials, techniques, and designs to inform preservation efforts
- Provide expert advice on preservation issues to government agencies and property owners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or architectural conservation
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques
- Familiarity with local regulations and guidelines for historic preservation
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable depending on experience)
Location: Lisbon (free visa and ticket provided if necessary)
