Architectural Technologist
As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of architectural projects. You will use your technical knowledge and skills to create detailed drawings and plans, as well as conduct site visits to assess the progress of construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that designs are functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. Your attention to detail and ability to problem-solve will be crucial in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of architectural projects
- Create detailed drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure designs are functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing
- Use your technical knowledge to identify potential construction issues and offer solutions
- Keep up-to-date on building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project process
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
Location: Los Angeles (Canadian nationality preferred)
Salary: $900 per week (part-time)
Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
