Mason - Construction Worker


We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our construction team in Muscat. As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures using various materials such as brick, stone, and concrete. Your main duties will include measuring and cutting materials, mixing mortar, and laying bricks or stones according to blueprints or specifications.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mason or in a related field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of different types of materials and their properties
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction site by clearing debris and setting up scaffolding or ladders
- Mix mortar according to specifications
- Lay out patterns or foundations using chalk lines or other marking tools
- Measure and cut materials to size using hand or power tools
- Lay bricks, stones, or other materials in designated patterns or shapes according to blueprints or plans
- Smooth and polish surfaces using trowels, levels, or other hand tools
- Apply sealant or adhesives where needed for waterproofing or insulation purposes
- Repair any damaged structures by replacing bricks or stones as needed
- Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure project deadlines are met

Salary: 1500$ per month
Location: Muscat

Nationality preference: Malayalees (from India) or Kenyans (from Kenya)
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required. Freshers with relevant training may also be considered.
Language requirement: No English language skills required.
Student opportunities: This position is open to students who have relevant training or experience in masonry.
