Entry-Level Fitter
Location: Svalbard, Norway


The ideal candidate for this position will be a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the field of fitting. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual who is eager to learn and grow in their career as a fitter. As an entry-level fitter, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior fitters with installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Learn how to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools
- Read blueprints and technical manuals to understand the layout of systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems and perform necessary repairs
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification or degree in fitting or a related field is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods of time

Salary:
This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1400 per month. After gaining experience and skills in the field, there will be opportunities for growth within the company.
