Preservation Architect


We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Beer-Sheva, Kenya. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historical buildings and structures. Your main task will be to ensure that the integrity and authenticity of these historical sites are maintained while also making them safe and functional for modern use.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations of historical structures to assess their condition and determine necessary preservation measures.
- Develop plans for preservation or restoration work, including cost estimates and timelines.
- Work with contractors and construction teams to oversee the implementation of preservation projects.
- Research historical techniques, materials, and designs to ensure authenticity in restoration work.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed plans and drawings for restoration projects.
- Collaborate with other professionals such as engineers, historians, and archaeologists to ensure accurate preservation work.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects.
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture, construction techniques, and materials.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

Salary: 1200$ monthly salary, with potential for growth based on performance.

Location: This position is based in Beer-Sheva but may require travel to other locations within Kenya.
