Preservation Architect
The Preservation Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing plans for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings in the city of Acre. This role requires a keen understanding of architectural design, historical preservation techniques, and local building codes. The ideal candidate should have experience in architectural conservation, as well as a passion for preserving cultural heritage. They should also possess strong project management skills and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1000 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures
- Develop detailed preservation plans that adhere to local building codes
- Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure proper execution of preservation plans
- Monitor progress and budget throughout the project lifecycle
- Research and recommend appropriate materials and techniques for restoration
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all projects
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in architectural conservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural conservation or historic preservation
- Strong understanding of local building codes, laws, and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other drafting software preferred
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Location: Acre, Israel (Preference for Israeli nationals or candidates with valid work visas)
