Sous Chef
Our busy restaurant in Akron is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team. We are looking for a creative and passionate individual with excellent culinary skills and leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar role.
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. You will also be responsible for supervising and training junior kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards.
The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You must also have excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively. A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Chef in menu planning
- Prepare dishes according to recipes
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Supervise junior kitchen staff
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards
- Ensure smooth operation of the kitchen during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to Head Chef
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
