Metal Worker
A leading metal fabrication company in Faroe-Islands is seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking, including welding, cutting, and shaping metal materials. This is a contract position with a salary of 1300$ per month. The Metal Worker will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal structures, equipment and machinery according to specifications. The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, use various hand and power tools, and have excellent attention to detail. As this is a contract position, the Metal Worker must also be able to work independently and efficiently. Accommodation will not be provided but we offer free visa sponsorship and ticket for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal materials using various tools such as saws, drills, grinders, and welders
- Welding components together using various techniques such as MIG or TIG welding
- Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Repair damaged or worn parts of metal equipment or structures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least 3 years of experience in metalworking
- Knowledge of different welding techniques (MIG/TIG)
- Ability to read blueprints and work independently
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic understanding of math calculations
- Good communication skills
