Preservation Architect
A prestigious architectural firm in Lisbon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. We specialize in preserving historic buildings and landmarks, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about preserving the past while also creating a sustainable future.
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for researching, assessing, and developing plans for the preservation of historical structures. This includes conducting site visits, analyzing building materials, and collaborating with engineers and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of the building. You will also be involved in designing renovation plans that meet modern safety standards while still maintaining the original aesthetic of the structure.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architecture or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of experience working on preservation projects. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is essential, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, creative, and able to work independently. Excellent communication skills are also necessary as you will be working closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies.
This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time employment based on performance. We offer competitive compensation of 1000$ per month along with accommodation options for non-local candidates. A biometric passport or willingness to obtain one is required due to frequent travel to project sites.
