Foundryman - Split, Croatia


A foundryman is responsible for producing metal castings through the process of melting and pouring molten metal into molds. They work with a variety of metals, including iron, steel, aluminum, and brass. The ideal candidate should have experience in operating and maintaining foundry equipment, as well as knowledge of various casting techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain foundry equipment such as furnaces, ladles, and casting machines
- Melt metal in furnace according to specified temperatures and pouring speeds
- Prepare molds by cleaning and coating them with refractory material
- Pour molten metal into molds and remove finished castings
- Inspect castings for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Follow safety procedures when handling hot metal and using equipment
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient production

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a foundryman or similar role
- Familiarity with various casting methods such as sand casting, investment casting, or die casting
- Knowledge of different types of metals used in the foundry process
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings
- Physical stamina to work in a hot environment and lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail for inspecting castings for defects
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Split, Croatia.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.

This is a contract position.

Experience Required:
Previous experience as a foundryman or similar role is required.
