Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients, historians, and engineers to ensure the conservation of cultural heritage. Your expertise in traditional building techniques and materials will be essential in maintaining the integrity of these structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine the condition of historical buildings
- Developing preservation plans based on historical research and architectural analysis
- Collaborating with engineers and contractors to implement restoration and conservation projects
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and building codes
- Utilizing traditional building techniques and materials in restoration projects
- Conducting regular inspections to monitor the condition of preserved buildings
- Preparing reports for clients and stakeholders on the progress of preservation projects
- Providing guidance to clients on maintenance and upkeep of historical buildings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Knowledge of traditional building techniques, materials, and conservation principles
- Strong understanding of local regulations and building codes related to preservation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail and strong project management skills
Location: Herning, Denmark
Salary: $1400 per month
