Our architectural firm in Karachi is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and sites. This includes conducting site surveys, developing preservation plans, and overseeing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys to assess the condition of historic buildings and sites
- Researching historical documents and records to understand the significance of the building or site
- Developing preservation plans that balance preservation with functionality and modern standards
- Collaborating with a team of architects, engineers, and contractors to implement preservation plans
- Overseeing construction projects to ensure they adhere to preservation guidelines
- Providing guidance on maintenance and repair work for historic buildings
- Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies regarding preservation efforts

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in historic preservation
- Knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques
- Familiarity with local and national preservation laws and regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and government agencies
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
