Warehouse Operations Coordinator

We are hiring a Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. We are a fast-growing company in the logistics industry and we need someone with experience in warehouse operations who can help us maintain efficiency and accuracy in our daily operations.

As a Warehouse Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the receiving, storing, and shipping of goods. This includes managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and ensuring that products are delivered on time.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and audits
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Communicate with customers to update them on order statuses and resolve any issues or concerns
- Ensure that all warehouse processes comply with safety and quality standards
- Train and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient and accurate work performance
- Keep track of warehouse expenses and identify areas for cost reduction

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Coordinator or similar role
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise with suppliers, customers, and team members
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions based on findings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience working in a contract-based job setting is a plus

- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Experience working with diverse teams and promoting a positive work culture
- Prior experience in cost reduction initiatives
