Position: Librarian
Salary: $900
Location: Shan, Myanmar (preference for local candidate)

We are seeking a qualified Librarian to join our team at our library in Shan. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for books and knowledge, who is organized, detail-oriented and customer-focused.

Responsibilities:
- Manage library operations, including cataloguing, circulation and collection development
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, as well as recommending materials
- Plan and implement library programs and events for all ages
- Maintain the library's physical space and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for patrons
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (Burmese language skills are a plus)
- Computer proficiency including knowledge of library software systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
