Sous Chef
We are currently hiring a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Horsens, Denmark. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Our ideal candidate is a creative individual with a passion for cooking and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and creating new dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to high-quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies when needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Manage kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Creativity in creating new dishes and adapting existing recipes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Good communication skills in English (Danish language proficiency is a plus)
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position.
