Indian Pastry Chef
We are hiring an Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Washington. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries that meet the standards of our restaurant. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure timely production of high-quality desserts and maintain a clean and organized pastry station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute innovative dessert recipes that align with our menu and restaurant theme.
- Prepare pastry items according to established recipes and techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry station.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs, ensuring consistent quality of desserts.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and develop new dessert offerings.
- Ensure all desserts are presented beautifully and consistently.
- Follow all food safety standards, including proper storing, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and techniques is preferred.
- Ability to create unique dessert recipes while adhering to budget constraints.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train junior staff members.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of quality in all desserts produced.
Salary: $1700 per month
