Library Technician

As a Library Technician in our library located in Fonvieille, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the organization of our collection. Your main responsibilities will include assisting patrons with finding and checking out materials, organizing and shelving books, cataloging new items, and updating records in our system. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the library, as well as handling any administrative tasks such as processing library card applications and collecting fines.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has a passion for books and knowledge, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail. A degree or certification in Library Science is preferred but not required. Previous experience working in a library or customer service setting is also beneficial.

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1600 per month. Our library is open six days a week, so some weekend availability may be required.
