Contract Librarian
Location: Khanpur, Pakistan
Salary: $1300 per month


We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Contract Librarian to join our team in Khanpur, Pakistan. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting library resources and services.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by selecting, acquiring, organizing, and cataloging materials.
- Develop and maintain effective systems for organizing and accessing library materials.
- Provide reference services to patrons by helping them find information in the library's collection or online.
- Assist patrons with research projects by guiding them through the research process and teaching them how to use library resources.
- Promote library resources and services through outreach activities such as workshops, presentations, and social media.
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs and initiatives that meet the needs of the community.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of librarianship and implement new technologies or methods in the library.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian.
- Strong knowledge of library organization systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification.
- Familiarity with reference tools such as online databases, search engines, and citation styles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service to patrons from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other librarians.
- Experience with developing outreach programs preferred.
