Moderator Coordinator


As a Moderator Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the moderation team and ensuring smooth operations for our online platform. Your role will involve managing a team of moderators, providing guidance and support, and handling any escalated issues. You will also work closely with other departments to develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and positive environment for our users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of moderators, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Provide support and guidance to moderators on handling user reports, enforcing community guidelines, and dealing with sensitive situations
- Collaborate with other departments to establish policies and procedures for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our users
- Monitor user activity on the platform and take appropriate action when necessary
- Review appeals from users regarding moderation decisions
- Keep track of trends in user behavior and make recommendations for improvement or further action as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in online community management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Sociology, Psychology or related field preferred
- Proven experience in managing teams or coordinating projects
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully
- Strong understanding of online communities and social media platforms
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Empathy towards diverse perspectives and ability to remain unbiased in decision-making
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) required; proficiency in other languages is a plus

Location: Lisbon (with accommodation provided)
Salary: $1800/month (full-time)
