Preservation Architect


We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic structures and buildings in the city. Your main responsibilities will include conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.

As a Preservation Architect, you must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field and possess strong knowledge of architectural history and conservation principles. You should also have excellent communication and project management skills to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical structures in Lisbon to gain an understanding of their design, materials, and construction techniques.
- Create preservation plans that meet the requirements of local regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals for the preservation project and provide expert advice on the best course of action.
- Oversee restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring that all work is carried out according to the preservation plan.
- Work closely with contractors and other team members to ensure that restoration work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise during the restoration process.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect.
- Strong knowledge of architectural history and conservation principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional site visits outside regular working hours.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month.
