Part-Time Interpreter


We are currently seeking a part-time interpreter to join our team in Funchal, Madeira. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. This position is perfect for freshers or those looking for a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken and written language from one language to another accurately and efficiently
- Use specialized vocabulary and technical terminology when interpreting
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Understand and follow the code of ethics and standards of practice for interpreters
- Provide cultural context to facilitate effective communication
- Collaborate with other interpreters or professionals as needed to ensure accurate interpretation
- Keep updated on industry terminology and developments in language services

Requirements:
- Excellent command of at least two languages, including English and Portuguese
- Strong verbal communication skills in both languages
- Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to adapt communication accordingly
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology preferred but not required
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
- Must have own visa or legal authorization to work in Portugal

Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Location:
The job is located in Funchal, Madeira. This is not a remote position.
