Concrete Worker
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Worker to join our team in Funchal. As a Concrete Worker, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining concrete structures and surfaces. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in concrete work, strong knowledge of construction materials and techniques, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them
- Build forms to hold concrete in place using various materials such as wood, metal or plastic
- Pour concrete into forms according to specific instructions and specifications
- Smooth, level, or finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools or power tools
- Monitor the curing process of concrete and make adjustments as needed
- Repair damaged or cracked concrete structures by filling them with appropriate materials
- Follow safety procedures while working with heavy machinery and equipment
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with concrete construction materials
- Strong knowledge of various types of concrete mixtures and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams accurately
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time, and work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with good manual dexterity
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
