Excavator Operator


We are in need of an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Svalbard. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, such as excavators, to move materials and perform various tasks on construction sites. This is a contract job with a salary of 1600$, and we are open to candidates without prior experience.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently to move materials, dig trenches, and perform other tasks according to project requirements
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on the equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Work closely with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
- Keep track of materials used and report any shortages or excesses

Requirements:
- Valid biometric passport for travel to Svalbard (non-Svalbard residents)
- Prior experience operating excavators is preferred but not required
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
