We are in need of a skilled Cashier to join our team at a busy retail store in the United States! As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling all cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently. Your main duties will include scanning items, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with any inquiries or concerns
- Scan items and process payments using cash registers or electronic scanners
- Accurately count and reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift
- Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the store

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service position is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Basic math skills to accurately handle cash transactions
- Familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and credit card terminals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
