Solar Installer
Location: Oslo, Norway
Salary: 1100$
A solar installer is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing solar energy systems on roofs or other structures. They work with various tools and equipment to properly mount solar panels, connect wiring and ensure the system is functioning correctly. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work at heights.
Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels according to specifications and safety standards
- Properly mount panels on roofs or other structures using brackets or other support structures
- Connect wiring from solar panels to inverters and electrical boxes
- Test and troubleshoot system components to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine maintenance on solar systems, including cleaning and replacing parts as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to the solar system installation
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working at heights and with electrical equipment
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a solar installer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of electrical systems and basic understanding of blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical fitness for lifting heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license
