Mason Assistant


We are hiring a Mason Assistant to join our team in La-Condamine. As a Mason Assistant, you will assist our experienced mason in the construction and repair of structures such as buildings, walls, and other structures made of brick, concrete blocks, stone or similar materials. You will be responsible for preparing materials and tools, mixing mortar and concrete, laying bricks or stones according to instructions and assisting with general site clean up. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the masonry profession while working alongside skilled professionals. No prior experience is required for this entry-level position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare materials and tools needed for masonry work
- Mix mortar and concrete according to specifications
- Assist with laying bricks or stones in a neat and orderly manner
- Follow instructions from the experienced mason to ensure proper construction techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite
- Assist with dismantling old structures for repair or renovation projects
- Adhere to safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Basic understanding of construction principles preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Must be able to work well in a team environment

Salary:
This is an entry-level position with a starting salary of $1100 per month.
