Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Fonvieille. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and cultural significance. This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time employment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and structures to determine their original design and construction methods
- Create detailed plans for the preservation and restoration of historical buildings, including structural repairs and material replacements
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that preservation work is carried out effectively
- Supervise preservation projects on site, ensuring that all work is done according to plans and specifications
- Monitor the condition of historical buildings over time and make necessary repairs or updates as needed
- Educate the public about the importance of historical preservation through presentations, workshops, or other outreach initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture, construction techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in Fonvieille
Salary: 1800$
Location: Fonvieille
