Architectural Technologist



Architectural technologists are responsible for creating detailed designs and plans for buildings and other structures. They combine their technical knowledge of construction with their design skills to produce functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. As an architectural technologist, you will be working closely with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to bring projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to gather information and measurements
- Create detailed building plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Develop technical drawings, specifications, and construction details
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs meet building codes and regulations
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project expenses
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, building materials, and construction methods
- Review project plans for accuracy and make any necessary revisions
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Coordinate with contractors during the construction phase of projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architectural technology or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in architectural design or drafting
- Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Preferred:
- Experience working on commercial or public projects
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software

Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
