Carpenter - Contract Position


We are in need of a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Nairobi on a contract basis. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, ensuring they are functional and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils, or marking gauges
- Cut, shape, and smooth materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, or planes
- Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, or adhesives
- Install structures such as windows, doors, cabinets, or stairs
- Repair damaged or rotting structures by replacing parts or reinforcing with new materials
- Follow safety procedures while working with sharp tools and heavy machinery

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Attention to detail and precision when working with measurements
- Physical stamina to handle strenuous tasks such as lifting heavy materials
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary: 1200$ per month

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm

Location: Nairobi (Preference for Indian nationals)
