Computer Research Scientist

As a Computer Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting research and developing solutions to complex computer science problems. You will work with a team of researchers and engineers to design, implement, and evaluate innovative algorithms and systems. Your role will involve staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer science and utilizing that knowledge to drive forward cutting-edge research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on various computer science topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing
- Designing and implementing algorithms and systems to solve complex problems
- Collaborating with other researchers and engineers to develop innovative solutions
- Evaluating the performance of developed systems through experimentation
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer science by attending conferences and reading relevant publications
- Writing research papers and presenting findings at conferences or workshops
- Mentoring junior researchers and providing guidance on their projects

Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience conducting research in an academic or industry setting
- Knowledge of current trends in computer science and familiarity with relevant tools and technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with team members

Salary: $1300/month (with accommodation)
Location: Lisbon, Portugal (visa sponsorship available)
